Nikita Kucherov Spent $11.6m on Florida Mansion
The Tampa Bay star's 855-square-metre villa took three years to build and now includes a pool, garden and private jetty on the bay.
Nikita Kucherov has spent around 373 million roubles building a house in Florida, according to Vesti, which cites the Telegram channel SHOT.
The Tampa Bay Forward bought the plot in the Sunset Park Isles area seven years ago, paying $3 million for 2,100 square metres of land. A single-storey house already stood there; Kucherov had it demolished. The new build took three years.
The finished property is a two-storey villa of 855 square metres, with five bedrooms, six bathrooms and a living room with a fireplace and panoramic windows. The garage alone covers roughly 100 square metres. The grounds include a pool, a garden and a jetty running down to the bay.
Construction cost about 360 million roubles, with a further 12 million roubles going on landscaping, the pool and the jetty. Permits and paperwork added more than 600,000 roubles. By current estimates, the property could now be worth close to 980 million roubles, or around $11.6 million at the exchange rate cited.
Kucherov has played for Tampa Bay since the 2013/14 season. His current contract, signed in 2018, pays him $9.5 million a season and runs through the end of next season.
