Valeri Nichushkin has posted a farewell message to Colorado, three months after the Avalanche traded him to Columbus.
The winger went to the Blue Jackets in June in exchange for three draft picks, ending a three-year stint in Denver.
Colorado, who play out of the 18,007-seat Ball Arena, sit second in the NHL, though they are yet to collect a point from their opening six games of the new season. Nichushkin now starts life at Columbus.
