Matthew Barnaby Backs Kucherov's Take on Modern Hockey
Ex-NHL forward Matthew Barnaby agrees with Nikita Kucherov that today's game is faster but lacks hockey IQ, especially on third and fourth lines.
Matthew Barnaby, the former forward for Buffalo, Pittsburgh and the Rangers, has backed Nikita Kucherov's assessment of the modern game.
The Tampa forward said earlier: "Hockey has become faster, but much dumber. A lot of foolish guys."
Barnaby wrote:
"I've been saying the same thing for years. The game has become a lot faster – especially among third- and fourth-line players – but the hockey IQ isn't there. Most guys watch hockey on YouTube instead of watching the games themselves."
