Pavel Shen sinks former club Admiral in Dynamo win

Pavel Shen scored a goal and added an assist as Dynamo Moscow beat Admiral 3-2 in Vladivostok, coming back from 0-2 down. Shen played five seasons at Admiral. Dynamo trailed after the first.

Coach Leonid Tambiev, who managed Admiral for four years, admitted the away leg was unfamiliar.

Tambiev pointed to fitness levels as the difference once his side settled, noting the squad is still bedding in after a heavy off-season turnover. "We're building a new side. A lot of new players have come in. They are still getting used to each other, and the coaching staff is still getting used to the team. It is not a quick process," he said. Every win so far has come by a single goal.

Forward Alexander Rimashevsky did not return to the ice after the first period. Tambiev said he had not yet spoken to the medical staff and had no diagnosis to offer.
