Neftekhimik beat Admiral 5-3 a day after a 6-3 win at Barys, and Alexander Petunin gave the KHL match helmet to the staff after a 7-hour flight.
Neftekhimik's staff were named player of the match after the club's 5-3 win over Admiral in the Fonbet KHL Championship on 27 September. It was the second win in two days, after a 6-3 win over Barys in Astana on 26 September.
Alexander Petunin handed the symbolic victory helmet to a member of the staff. "Everyone was excellent, but today I would give it to the staff," Petunin said. "They hardly slept today and created every condition for us."
