Adrian Kempe has been tried at centre in Los Angeles training camp, lining up between Artemi Panarin and Alex Laferriere on one line.

Kings head coach Peter Laviolette said he had discussed a move to the middle with the Swede beforehand. Kempe agreed to try it. In recent years he has played mainly on the wing.

For now it is an experiment, part of the work before the NHL season starts. No decision has been taken on whether he will play centre in official games.
