Gomolyako: Kantserov Has What It Takes for NHL
Ex-Metallurg sporting director Sergei Gomolyako says forward Roman Kantserov, now with Chicago, is mobile, powerful and versatile enough to stick in the NHL.
Sergei Gomolyako, a former Metallurg Magnitogorsk player and the club's former sporting director, said Roman Kantserov has the tools to hold down a place in the NHL.
Kantserov, a forward, left Metallurg for Chicago this summer. He made his debut for the Blackhawks in a preseason match against Minnesota, a 3:4 loss in overtime.
Kantserov can play both on the wing and at centre, according to Gomolyako.
