Rotenberg to Open Red Machine Academy in Krasnoyarsk
Roman Rotenberg announced the Red Machine hockey academy and its Red Machine Yard social programme will expand next to Krasnoyarsk, adding it to the free youth hockey network.
Roman Rotenberg, founder of the "Red Machine" academy, says the hockey project is heading to Krasnoyarsk next.
"The next step is Krasnoyarsk. We plan to open the 'Red Machine' academy here and launch the social programme 'Red Machine Yard'," Rotenberg said, speaking at the plenary session "400 Years of Leadership: Krasnoyarsk Territory — Architect of the New Economy of Siberia and the East of Russia," part of the "Russian Creative Week — Siberia" forum.
The "Red Machine" academy currently has more than 1,000 children playing hockey free of charge. The "Red Machine Yard" social project already operates in several regions, bringing hockey facilities closer to where children live. Krasnoyarsk would be the next city added to that network.
