Four injured Avangard forwards returned to on-ice training, while new tryout signing defenceman Yevgeni Kashnikov also joined the session on 27 September.
Five Avangard players who have been missing through injury took part in on-ice training on 27 September: Damir Sharipzyanov, Alexander Volkov, Michael McLeod and Nail Yakupov.
Defenceman Yevgeni Kashnikov also skated with the group. Avangard signed him the same day on a tryout deal running to 24 October.
No return dates have been given for Sharipzyanov, Volkov, McLeod or Yakupov.
