St. Louis claim Justin Barron off waivers from Nashville
The Blues have reclaimed the defenceman they drafted 16th overall in 2024, picking him up on waivers after Nashville declined to keep him.
St. Louis have claimed defenceman Justin Barron off waivers from Nashville.
Barron played 52 games for the Predators in the 2025/26 regular season, with 9 assists and a minus-1 rating.
Nashville had extended him on a one-year deal worth $1.575m against the cap on 6 July.
St. Louis have also recalled defenceman Adam Jiříček from the AHL. The Blues took Barron in the first round of the 2024 NHL Draft, 16th overall.
The move gives St. Louis another look at a player they rated highly enough to spend a first-round pick on, now available for a fraction of the outlay after Nashville chose not to keep him.
