Adam Markhiyev

Adam Markhiyev was born in Nazran and moved to Finland at the age of seven, going on to hold Finnish citizenship and represent the country at youth level from U16 through to U21. His path into senior football began at HJK Helsinki's reserve side, Klubi 04, where he scored twice in 23 appearances as the team won the Kakkonen in 2020.

A free transfer took him to Latvia in March 2021, where he joined Spartaks Jūrmala and made 28 appearances. A loan spell at Italian Serie B side SPAL followed in early 2022, though injury meant he never featured for the first team. His move to Rīgas FS in February 2023 proved a significant period in his career: 66 appearances and three goals, alongside back-to-back Virslīga titles in 2023 and 2024 and the Latvian Cup in 2024. He also reached the Latvian Cup final in 2023 and the Latvian Supercup final in 2024.

In January 2025, Markhiyev moved on to Cypriot club Aris Limassol, where he made 16 appearances before a reported €2.5 million transfer took him to 2. Bundesliga club 1. FC Nürnberg in September 2025. He made his senior debut for Finland that same month, and scored his first international goal against Lithuania in October 2025 during qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
