Aleksandar Jukić

The move that took Aleksandar Jukić out of Austria came in January 2024, when he left FK Austria Wien for PFC Sochi in the Russian Premier League. FK Austria Wien said publicly that the transfer was a mutual termination of his contract with no fee paid, citing sanctions risks. His time at Sochi was short: 12 appearances, one goal, and then relegation.

Almost everything before that had happened in one place. He joined the FK Austria Wien academy in 2014 from 1. Simmeringer SC and stayed in the club's structure for a decade. The second team gave him his professional debut in the Austrian Second League in August 2018, and he stayed useful there rather than merely present — 9 goals in 43 appearances.

The step up came in July 2020. Over four seasons in the senior squad he made 95 league appearances and scored 10 goals, and played in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Rubin signed him on a free transfer on 1 July 2024, on a four-year contract running to 30 June 2028.

His international record is thin and easy to state: one cap for Austria's under-17s in 2017, one for the under-21s in 2021. He has not been capped by the senior national side. He has not won a major senior club title or an individual award.
