About the player
Alex Pinto came up through Moreirense's youth ranks before moving to the Vitória SC academy in 2013, and he made his senior debut for the Guimarães club in May 2017. A loan at Gil Vicente in 2019–20 provided regular first-team football.
Farense signed him on a free transfer in August 2020, and over two seasons he made around two dozen appearances across the Primeira Liga and Liga Portugal 2. He joined DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda in Slovakia in January 2022. He spent two years there, made more than fifty appearances, and was part of the squad for back-to-back Slovak Superliga titles in 2022–23 and 2023–24.
He returned to Gil Vicente in January 2024 on a free transfer, then signed for FC Arouca that July on a two-year contract and played in the Primeira Liga through the 2024–25 season. That deal was ended by mutual consent, and in January 2026 Pinto went back to Farense on a free transfer, signing until June 2027.
At youth international level, Pinto was capped twice by Portugal's under-19 side in 2017 and seven times by the under-20s between 2017 and 2018.
