About the player
Alexander Rossipal signed for Dynamo Dresden on a free transfer after his contract with FC Hansa Rostock ran out, and he now wears the number 19 shirt. The left-footed defender came through the youth ranks at TV Kemnat, VfB Stuttgart, SGV Freiberg and Stuttgarter Kickers before joining TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in 2014, where he spent three seasons with the second team.
A free move to SV Sandhausen in 2018 opened the next chapter, interrupted by a loan spell at SC Preußen Münster during the 2019–20 season. Back at Sandhausen, Rossipal scored a direct free-kick against 1. FC Heidenheim in January 2021 that was later voted the club's Goal of the Season. The strike came at a point when he had been close to being released, and it marked a turning point in his career.
He moved on to SV Waldhof Mannheim in July 2021, contributing 4 goals in 28 appearances across two seasons before signing a two-year deal with FC Hansa Rostock in June 2023, again on a free transfer. Earlier in his career, Rossipal was capped twice by Germany at U18 level in 2013.
