Ángel Baltazar Sepúlveda Sánchez

Ángel Sepúlveda's name is now tied to the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup, where he was named the tournament's Best Player. That run capped a spell in which he had become a key striker for the club after his transfer from Querétaro in August 2023, going on to score 30 goals in 92 league appearances. He was named Liga MX Player of the Month twice, in October 2024 and July 2025, and was included in the league's Ideal XI for the Apertura 2024.

Sepúlveda's career began in the Monarcas Morelia academy, and he made his senior debut there in September 2010. What followed was a long circuit through Mexican football: a loan to Toros Neza, spells at Atlante and Querétaro, a return to Morelia, and a first stint at Guadalajara from 2018 that was interrupted by loans to Necaxa, Club Tijuana and back to Querétaro.

With the national team, Sepúlveda has earned 12 caps and scored three goals, including a strike against El Salvador at the 2017 Gold Cup and another against Switzerland in a June 2025 friendly. He was part of the Mexico squads that won the 2024/25 CONCACAF Nations League and the 2025 Gold Cup.

In December 2025 he returned to Guadalajara, with the move confirmed on 18 December. He made his competitive debut for the club off the bench in a 2-0 win over Pachuca in the Clausura 2026 opener, and has since made 23 league appearances for Chivas, scoring four goals.
