Artem Shabanov

Artem Shabanov came through the Dynamo Kyiv and Arsenal Kyiv academies before making his professional debut at Arsenal, and spent a decade moving between clubs before he found his most settled spell back at the club that first trained him. His return to Dynamo Kyiv in January 2018 brought the most productive years of his career: two Ukrainian Super Cups, a third the following season, and a Ukrainian Cup in 2020.

A loan to Legia Warszawa in 2021 added a Polish championship medal to that list, a season away from Kyiv that still counted among the more notable stops of his career. Dynamo Kyiv released him in 2022, and in February that year he moved to Hungary's Fehérvár for a reported €700,000 — a fee that marked him as one of the more valuable Ukrainian defenders on the market at the time.

Shabanov's route since then has taken in Polissia Zhytomyr and Oleksandriya, before he joined FC Kharkiv as a free agent in July 2025. At international level, he has been capped twice by Ukraine, making his debut against Slovakia in November 2017, and came through the under-18 and under-19 sides earlier in his career.

Standing at 190cm, the right-footed defender has built a career on versatility across clubs and competitions rather than any single defining moment, moving through Ukraine's top flight, a loan spell abroad, and now a switch to Metalist 1925 Kharkiv as he continues into his thirties.
