About the player
Brighton Labeau's best season came at FC Lausanne-Sport, where he finished the 2022–23 Swiss Challenge League as joint top scorer with 19 goals and was named the division's Best Player. Those goals helped carry the club up into the Swiss Super League, and months later, in a Challenge League derby, he was a menace all night against his former club Stade-Lausanne-Ouchy, scoring the goal that settled it.
Labeau came through the reserve side at AS Monaco before signing for Amiens, where he made two Ligue 1 appearances and was loaned out twice, to Créteil-Lusitanos and then Villefranche Beaujolais. A move to Romania's Rapid București followed, then Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, where he won the Belgian Second Division title, before he settled into the Swiss game at Stade-Lausanne-Ouchy and then Lausanne-Sport.
He left Lausanne-Sport for En Avant Guingamp on a free transfer in 2024, scoring against Red Star that August, before FC Thun signed him last August for a fee of around SFr 700,000 — a record transfer for the club at the time.
Internationally, Labeau captains Martinique. He scored three goals at the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup, including one against Costa Rica, and has since added goals in the CONCACAF Nations League.
