About the player
Barros made his professional debut for Defensor Sporting on 20 October 2019 against Racing Club de Montevideo. Two years later he was part of the squad that won the Uruguayan Segunda División title in 2021, earning promotion to the Primera División.
From there his path took him abroad and back on a series of loans and free moves. He spent time on loan at Universidad de Chile before a further loan at Albion FC, then joined CA River Plate on a free transfer. In January 2024 he crossed to Ecuadorian football with Orense SC, making 11 appearances in the Liga Pro, before returning to Uruguay for a spell at Club Plaza Colonia de Deportes, where he started out with the Segunda División side before working his way into the first team. In January 2026 he moved on again, this time to Cerro Montevideo.
At youth international level, Barros was included in Uruguay's squad for the 2023 South American U-20 Championship in Colombia.
