About the player
Carlos Martín Domínguez joined Atlético Madrid's academy in 2008 and worked his way up through the club's youth categories before settling into Atlético Madrileño, the reserve side, in 2019. He made his first-team debut for Atlético Madrid in the 2021–22 season.
The following season Mirandés took him on loan into the Segunda División, and Martín scored 15 goals in 40 appearances, enough to make him the club's top scorer and to help Mirandés steer clear of relegation. He made around 26 appearances and scored twice on loan at Deportivo Alavés in La Liga for 2024–25.
In January 2026 he was loaned to Rayo Vallecano for the second half of the season, making 11 appearances, and he joined Hajduk Split on loan until June 2027 instead. Along the way, Martín was part of the Atlético Madrid squad that won the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2025–26, though with him out on loan at Rayo Vallecano and left off the club's official UEFA squad list for the campaign, he did not receive a medal for it.
He remains under contract with Atlético Madrid until 2029, plays primarily as a left winger or striker, and is right-footed.
