About the player
Deutschlandsberg is where Clemens Steinbauer's football began, and for a long time it stayed close to home: he came through the youth ranks at Deutschlandsberger SC before making his senior bow there in the 2018–19 season, racking up 68 league appearances over three seasons.
The move that pushed him forward came in July 2023, when he joined LASK Amateure OÖ. Two seasons there brought 30 competitive appearances split fairly evenly across both campaigns, and when his registration expired he left on a free transfer.
Admira Wacker picked him up in the summer of 2025, going on to make 22 league appearances for the club. There is some disagreement over which foot he favours: Transfermarkt and EA FC data list him as left-footed, while Sofascore has him down as right-footed, and no club statement has settled the question either way. He has not featured for any senior Austrian national team.
