About the player
Coll Donaldson captains Falkirk, a role he took on in January 2024.
A £150,000 move to Queens Park Rangers in January 2014, but he was released and joining Dundee United on a free in July 2015. He won the Scottish Challenge Cup there in 2016–17 before spells at Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Ross County, plus a loan to Dunfermline Athletic, added to a career that has now passed 350 senior appearances.
Falkirk, signed on a free transfer in June 2022. Donaldson was a key figure as the club won the Scottish League One title in 2023–24, a season that also brought him a place in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year for that division, and he helped Falkirk go up again by winning the Scottish Championship in 2024–25.
After a 5–2 defeat to Celtic in the 2024 Scottish League Cup quarter-final, he spoke about Brendan Rodgers coming into the Falkirk dressing room to compliment his players despite the scoreline, and he has described facing Celtic's Kyogo Furuhashi as a "nightmare" given the striker's pace and finishing.
