About the player
In the 2023–24 AFC Champions League group stage he scored a hat-trick against Kaya–Iloilo, and in 2022 he was named the league's Best Player for the 20th round after a brace against Shanghai Port.
Born in Sud Mennucci, Brazil, Cryzan came through the youth ranks at Grêmio Barueri before joining Athletico Paranaense, where he made his senior debut in February 2015. The following years were shaped by loan spells away from the club: to Oeste in the Série B, to Cercle Brugge in Belgium, to Al-Batin in Saudi Arabia, and to Atlético Goianiense back in Brazil. He won the Challenger Pro League with Cercle Brugge in the 2017–18 season. With Athletico Paranaense itself, he lifted the Campeonato Paranaense in 2016 and, in 2019, both the Copa Sudamericana and the Copa do Brasil.
In January 2020 he left Brazil for Portugal, signing permanently for Santa Clara for an undisclosed fee. He stayed there until April 2022, when Shandong Taishan brought him to China for a reported fee of around €2 million. He has since won the Chinese FA Cup with the club in 2022.
