About the player
Donny Warmerdam spent thirteen years in Ajax's academy, joining as a boy from RKVV Teylingen in 2010 and staying until 2023. He made his senior debut for Jong Ajax in 2020 and went on to play 82 league matches for the reserve side in the Eerste Divisie, scoring five goals. In the 2021/2022 season, when Ajax won the Eredivisie title, Warmerdam was under contract with the club but featured only for Jong Ajax, never appearing for the senior side.
He left Ajax on a free transfer in July 2023, signing a two-year deal with De Graafschap that carried an option for a third season. He made 73 league appearances and scored nine goals. In August 2025, he joined Indonesian club PSIM Yogyakarta on a free transfer, where he played 11 league games. Warmerdam returned to De Graafschap in the summer of 2026, signing a one-year contract with an option to extend until 2028.
At youth level, Warmerdam represented the Netherlands at under-16 level, earning five caps in 2018.
