About the player
Denis Donkor grew up in Dortmund and came through the youth ranks at Eintracht Dortmund before leaving the club in 2021. He spent the 2021/22 season at Türkspor Dortmund, before joining Rot-Weiß Oberhausen on a free transfer in July 2022.
It was at Oberhausen that Donkor built his reputation. Across three seasons he made 82 appearances, scoring 4 goals and setting up 16 more. That trend peaked in 2024/25, when he was the second-best assist provider in the Regionalliga West with 12 assists and totalled 14 goal contributions in 28 games.
The form earned him a move up the pyramid. In July 2025 he joined TSG Hoffenheim II on a free transfer, stepping into the 3. Liga for the 2025/2026 campaign.
Donkor is right-footed. He has not been capped by Germany at youth or senior level, and his career so far has been built entirely through free transfers rather than fees.
