Elias Sørensen

Elias Sørensen made his name not at Newcastle United, where he spent five years without a single senior appearance, but far from Tyneside. Loaned out three times — to Blackpool, Carlisle United and Almere City — he spent little time on the pitch before a permanent move to Denmark reset his career.

At Esbjerg fB, Sørensen became a fixture. In the 2023–24 Danish 2nd Division season he scored 24 goals in 30 appearances, won the title with the club and secured promotion to the 1st Division. The Danish Players' Union named him both Player of the Season and top goalscorer in the division that year. Across his three seasons at Esbjerg he scored 39 goals in 78 appearances.

A move to Portsmouth followed in 2024, though it brought only a single goal in twelve outings before he moved on. Vålerenga signed him in January 2025 on a four-year contract, and he finished the 2025 Eliteserien season as the club's top scorer with 12 goals. Across all competitions that year he reached 13 goals in 40 appearances.

Sørensen at Vålerenga scored one goal in nine league matches in the 2026 campaign before he moved on again, this time to Eredivisie side PEC Zwolle in June 2026 on a three-year deal with the option of a fourth.

Sørensen has represented Denmark at every youth level from U17 to U21, scoring twice for the U20s and twice more for the U21s, but a senior cap has so far eluded him.
