Fabian Merien

Fabian Merién joined the PSV academy in 2019, at the age of 11, starting out with the club's under-12 side under coach Martin de Laat. On 2 May 2024, aged 15, he signed his first professional contract, running until the summer of 2027. On 26 August 2025 PSV extended that deal by a further year, to mid-2028.

Merién made his debut for Jong PSV, the club's reserve side, on 2 May 2025 in an Eerste Divisie match against Excelsior, coming on in the 66th minute. He appeared 33 times in the Eerste Divisie and contributed one goal and one assist.

His first-team debut came later, on 16 December 2025, in the KNVB Cup against GVVV Veenendaal, when he was introduced in the 76th minute.

Merién has been part of PSV squads that won the Eredivisie in the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons, though he did not feature in league matches during the first of those campaigns. He was also included in the squad that won the 2025 Johan Cruyff Shield, without playing in that match, and won the Under-19 Divisie 1 title with PSV's youth side in 2024/25.

Merién has represented the Netherlands at various youth levels, from under-15 through to under-19, scoring once in ten appearances for the under-17s.
