About the player
Frederik Brandhof began his career with Skive IK after a spell in FK Viborg's youth ranks. He returned to the club in 2013 and made his senior debut in 2014, staying on to become a regular before moving on.
FC Midtjylland picked him up on a free transfer in July 2017 on a four-year deal, but rather than throw him straight into the first team, the club sent him back to Skive on loan for the 2017–2018 season, where he scored twice in 15 appearances. He made a single appearance for the first team, in the Danish Cup in September 2018, before he moved on again.
Viborg FF signed him in January 2019, where he recorded 10 goals and 5 assists in 29 league games during 2019–2020, a return that earned him the club's Player of the Year award.
AGF brought him in on a free transfer in the summer of 2021, initially on a deal to 2024 that was later extended to 2025. He made over 100 appearances for the Aarhus club, deployed as a central midfielder or wing-back, and picked up the Årets Fighter prize in 2022.
In June 2025, Brandhof moved to AC Horsens on a free transfer, signing until 2028 and linking back up with David Nielsen, his former coach at AGF. At youth level he was capped once for Denmark U19 and twice for the U20s, featuring at the 2016 Toulon Tournament.
