Giovanni Gimsfus

Giovani Ghimfuș was born in Granada, Spain, but has represented Romania throughout his career, coming through Prosport Academy before joining Concordia Chiajna's youth ranks in 2017. He moved into the first team in 2022 and spent three seasons there, a spell in which he became the club's second-highest scorer in the 2024/25 campaign with a return of 12 goals in 57 appearances.

That form earned him a free transfer to Sepsi OSK in January 2025, where he signed a contract running to June 2029. He had only just settled in Covasna when, in January 2026, he moved on loan to Metaloglobus București for the remainder of the 2025/26 season. The timing meant he arrived after the club's promotion-winning campaign rather than as part of it: Metaloglobus had already secured the Liga II title and top-flight status in 2024/25, before Ghimfuș had any connection to the club. Since joining on loan, he has made 12 appearances for Metaloglobus without yet finding the net.

Ghimfuș has also been capped at various Romania youth levels, though the extent of his involvement with the junior national sides has not been made public in detail.
