About the player
Waterford signed Jordan Faria on a free transfer in January 2026. His debut came against Shamrock Rovers in June 2026, and by the middle of the year he had started all nine of his appearances for the club.
Faria's path ran through the Toronto FC academy system from his early teens, progressing through Toronto FC III and Toronto FC II before a loan spell took him back to the senior Toronto FC squad in 2023. In between, he spent time away from MLS altogether, playing for York United FC in 2021 and for Finnish side MuSa in 2022. His move to Valour FC in the Canadian Premier League at the end of 2023 gave him his most settled run before Waterford came in for him.
At international level, Faria's involvement with Canada has stayed at youth level. He was part of the Canada U15 squad in 2015 and later played for the U17s at the 2017 CONCACAF U-17 Championship, where he made three appearances and set up a goal. That year he was also named runner-up for the Canadian U17 Player of the Year award.
