About the player
Josh Gordon started out at Newcastle Town, moved through Nantwich Town, had a single match at Rhyl, and found real form at Stafford Rangers, where 11 goals in the 2016/17 season were enough to earn him a move to Leicester City. Gordon's football came instead in Leicester's under-23 side before Walsall took him on a free transfer in 2018.
Across three seasons he scored 27 goals in 123 appearances, and was named the club's player of the season in 2019/20 after finishing as its top scorer with 12 goals.
Walsall took him back on loan in January 2024 and then signed him permanently that summer. Barrow brought him back on loan in September 2025, and he responded by finishing as the club's top scorer again, with nine goals in 33 games in the 2025/26 season.
Across his career, Gordon has scored 67 goals in around 334 appearances and added 17 assists, converting seven of ten penalties.
