Zhurun Liu

Liu Zhurun came through the Shanghai Port academy and broke into the first team in 2020. He got there quickly: he became the youngest player to score in the Shanghai Derby, doing so at 20 years and 28 days, and also holds the record as the club's youngest Chinese Super League scorer, at 20 years and 81 days.

He stayed involved as Shanghai Port collected honours around him, winning the Chinese Super League in both 2023 and 2024 and adding the Chinese FA Cup in 2024. In February 2025 he moved out on loan to Dalian Yingbo for the season: 25 appearances, 5 goals and 2 assists across the campaign, with a return to Shanghai Port expected once the loan ran its course at the end of the year.

At international level, Liu made his senior China debut on 20 July 2022 against South Korea at the EAFF E-1 Football Championship, a tournament in which China finished as runners-up. He has since added a second cap. Before that step up, he had already featured for the China under-23 side, and he scored for that team against the UAE in April 2024 during the U-23 Asian Cup.
