About the player
Lucas Duarte moved through club after club in Rio de Janeiro and beyond — Americano, Campos, Bangu, Nova Iguaçu, Gonçalense, Petrópolis, Gama, Guarani, Taquaritinga and Atlético Joseense all featured on his path before he ever set foot in Europe. In 2024, he crossed the Atlantic to join Sporting Clube da Covilhã in Portugal. The move paid off immediately. In his first season in Liga 3, Duarte finished as Covilhã's top scorer, striking 12 times in 25 appearances — nine of those goals came in the league and three in the Taça de Portugal — while also setting up three more for teammates. In August 2025, Duarte transferred to FC Felgueiras 1932 ahead of the 2025/26 season, taking his goalscoring instincts into a new dressing room.
