About the player
Ludvig Arvidsson made his senior competitive debut for Halmstads BK in the Svenska Cupen against Gefle IF, and followed it with his Allsvenskan bow on 14 April 2025 against Öster. He had only been promoted to the first-team squad and handed his first professional contract earlier that year. He went on to make 25 league appearances in his debut top-flight season, adding one assist along the way.
Arvidsson came through Halmstad's own academy after moving there from Förslövs IF, and the club's youth setup already had a habit of pointing to him: he won the Gothia Cup with the Halmstad P08 side. He has since extended his ties to the club, signing a contract that runs until the end of 2028.
His progress has been matched at international level. Arvidsson has played for Sweden at both U16 and U17, and scored against Norway at a four-nation tournament in Sundsvall in August 2024. He was later given the captain's armband for the U17 side, wearing it in a match against Ukraine in September 2025 as Sweden went through UEFA U17 Championship qualifying.
