About the player
Marcus Baggesen made his way through the Danish system before Swedish football took over his career. He came up through Vendsyssel FF before moving into Silkeborg IF's academy in the summer of 2020, spending roughly two and a half years there.
The move that shaped his career came in January 2023, when Baggesen left Denmark for IFK Norrköping. He went on to make 63 appearances for the club across three seasons. His form during that spell was enough to see him named among the 100 nominees for the Golden Boy award in June 2023.
Norrköping's relegation from Allsvenskan opened the door to another switch. On 29 January 2026, Baggesen joined Västerås SK, who bought out his contract from Norrköping for an undisclosed fee. He signed through to the end of 2028. Since arriving, he has featured 16 times and scored once, while also topping the club's assist charts with four.
Baggesen plays on the left of defence and is left-footed.
