Marin Belančić

Marin Belančić came through the youth system in his native Pula, moving between Pula ICI, Istra 1961, Rijeka and Hajduk Split before a brief return to Istra 1961 in 2019 to start his senior career. From there the left-footed defender's path ran through a wide spread of clubs, spending a season in Italy with Marina di Ragusa before joining Croatian sides Uljanik, Opatija, Hrvatski Dragovoljac and Cibalia.

His move away from Croatian football came in February 2024, when he signed for Kazakh club Zhenis on a free transfer after his contract with Cibalia ran out. He made 21 league appearances that season and struck twice in a 2–0 win over Tobol during the Kazakhstan League Cup. Early in 2025 he returned to the Balkans, joining Bosnian side HŠK Posušje on a free transfer until the end of the season with the option of an extension. By July 2025 he was back in Kazakhstan, signing for Yelimay Semey.

Belančić has represented Croatia at every youth level from under-15 to under-18, though he has not featured for the senior national team. At club level, his career so far has been defined by movement rather than silverware — no major individual honours or team titles from his time with Cibalia, Zhenis or Yelimay Semey have been recorded, with his development instead built through regular football across several leagues and countries.
