About the player
Martim Almeida came through the Sporting CP academy before a brief return to CD Fátima and then a move to SL Benfica. He continued his development at FC Famalicão instead, where he spent five years mostly playing for the club's U23 side in the Liga Revelação and for the U19s, including appearances in the UEFA Youth League. His senior debut came for Famalicão in the Taça da Liga, against Os Belenenses.
In July 2026 Almeida moved to União de Leiria as a free agent, signing a three-year contract. He made his debut for the club the following month, against Vizela.
He has also featured for Portugal's U16 side, winning at least one cap in a friendly during the 2025/2026 season.
