Memet Imran came through the Shandong Taishan academy, and it was in the club's own colours that he made every step of his rise. He moved up to Shandong Taishan B in February 2024, playing 11 matches in China League Two that season before earning a promotion to the senior squad in 2025, where he made his Chinese Super League debut. By 2026 he had become a regular contributor to the first team, featuring in the Chinese FA Cup against opponents such as Shanghai Port and Wuhan Three Towns.
The defensive midfielder wears the number 38 shirt and plays with his right foot. He was part of the Shandong Taishan squad that finished runners-up in the 2024 Chinese FA Cup, though that campaign came before his own senior involvement with the team.
Memet's progress has run in parallel with international recognition. He was called up to the China U20 side in 2025, earning three caps during the AFC U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers.
