About the player
Mohamed Soumah joined Sirius in February 2026, arriving from Belgian club Gent in a deal worth around €1 million and signing a four-year contract.
Soumah moved to Europe, where he spent time on loan at Avoine Chinon in France. Those loans served as a testing ground before Gent brought him into their setup, initially with the club's under-23 side, where he made 24 appearances and scored once across the 2023–2024 season.
At 188cm and playing right-footed, Soumah has also featured for Guinea at international level, with six caps for the senior national team. He has been a more regular presence for the country's Olympic side, making eleven appearances and scoring once.
His time in Sweden has already produced a difficult moment: Soumah was sent off in the 80th minute during a match against GAIS.
