About the player
Nélson Conceição da Luz made 62 league appearances and scored seven goals for 1º de Agosto in Luanda. He was part of the squad that took the Girabola title and the Supertaça de Angola in 2017.
In September 2020 he moved to Europe on a free transfer, joining Vitória de Guimarães. He started out with the club's reserve side before working his way into the first team, where he stayed until 2024, adding 56 league appearances and seven goals.
Da Luz has also been capped by Angola, appearing in Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in both 2019 and 2023, though caps have so far been limited to three, without a goal for the Palancas Negras.
