Oleksii Sych

Oleksii Sych spent his early career shuttling between Lviv clubs. He made his senior debut for Karpaty Lviv in March 2020, then moved that October to sister club Karpaty Halych, where he made six appearances in the Ukrainian Second League. Later in 2020 he joined Rukh Lviv, eventually reaching 63 league appearances there.

Loaned to Belgian side KV Kortrijk for the 2022–23 season, Sych made 14 league appearances and scored his goal against OH Leuven in January 2023, adding three cup appearances. He returned to Rukh Lviv afterwards before leaving the club in January 2025.

That same month, Sych transferred back to Karpaty Lviv for a fee of €1 million. His return brought limited game time at first — four appearances in the 2024–25 season — before a fuller campaign of 18 appearances the following season. In July 2026 he moved on again, joining Dynamo Kyiv for the same €1 million fee, with the deal including a sell-on clause and a buy-back option for Karpaty.

Internationally, Sych was part of the Ukraine under-21 squad that won bronze at the 2023 European Under-21 Championship, and he was later named in the under-23 squad for the 2024 Summer Olympics. He earned his first senior cap for Ukraine in a Nations League match against Albania in November 2024, followed by a second cap in a Nations League play-off against Belgium the following March.
