About the player
Kalmar FF let Olle Samuelsson go from its youth setup without offering him a senior contract, and trials at Örebro SK and Örgryte IS also came to nothing. He rebuilt his career from the lower divisions instead, joining Oskarshamns AIK in Division 1 in March 2024 and making 28 league appearances there. A move to Sandvikens IF in the Superettan followed on a free transfer at the start of 2025, and after just 13 league games his sale that July was described by the club as a record fee received for a player leaving Sandvikens IF.
That sale took him straight into the Allsvenskan with BK Häcken, who paid 3.5 million SEK to sign him in July 2025 and tied him to a contract running to the end of 2029.
Samuelsson has since been called up to Sweden's U21 side, making his debut for the age group in October 2025. He has not yet featured for the senior national team.
