Onizime Zimugana

Onesime Zimuangana made his way to MVV Maastricht through Eindhoven's biggest club. He started out at local side MULO, known as Kattenmeppers, before PSV's academy took him on, and he worked his way up through the youth ranks to Jong PSV, where he made three appearances in the Eerste Divisie in the 2023/2024 season. When his contract at PSV ran out, he did not get a senior deal there and instead moved on a free transfer to Helmond Sport, the club from his home town.

At Helmond Sport he became a regular contributor in the Eerste Divisie, making 16 appearances across two seasons and adding a goal and an assist to his name. That spell was enough to earn him a move to MVV Maastricht on a free transfer, where he signed a two-year contract with a one-year option and took the number 29 shirt.

A right-footed forward who can also play out wide, Zimuangana has also worn Dutch colours at youth level, capped twice for the Netherlands at under-17. Before that, he had represented the United States at under-16 level, reflecting a background that crosses both countries.
