About the player
Pierre Landry Kaboré arrived at Heart of Midlothian in August 2025 already carrying a reputation built far from Scotland, in Estonia's Meistriliiga, where he had spent a season and a half. In 44 league appearances there he scored 23 goals, form that earned him the league's Player of the Month award in May 2025. By September 2026 he had struck five goals in 28 appearances for Hearts.
His route to Estonia ran through Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast. Kaboré came through ASF Bobo before spells at Salitas and AS SONABEL, then moved to SOL FC in Ivory Coast in August 2022, where he stayed until January 2024, when Narva Trans brought him in.
Kaboré made his senior international debut for Burkina Faso on 2 June 2025, in a friendly defeat to Tunisia. He has since become a fixture in attack for the national side, and on 12 October 2025 he produced the standout moment of his international career so far: a hat-trick against Ethiopia in a 3–1 win during 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification. As of June 2026 he has won 12 caps and scored seven goals for his country.
A left-footed forward, Kaboré plays at Hearts. He has yet to add a major team trophy to his individual accolades.
