About the player
Marco Ribeiro arrived at Felgueiras 1932 in September 2025 on a free transfer from Boavista. A product of Boavista's academy at the Bessa, the midfielder had joined the senior squad in July 2023 and worked his way to twelve appearances in the Primeira Liga during the 2024/25 season, only for the campaign to end abruptly in February 2025 when he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. The injury required surgery and kept him out for the rest of the season, cutting short a run of first-team football at a club still fighting in Portugal's top flight.
At 188cm, Ribeiro offers a physical presence in midfield and he now wears the number 20 shirt at Felgueiras. His move to the club gives him a chance to rebuild playing time after the lay-off.
Away from his club career, Ribeiro has represented Timor-Leste at underage international level. He featured for the Timor-Leste under-22 side and scored against Thailand's under-22 team at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games in December.
