Rocco Žiković

Rocco Žiković holds the transfer record for NK Istra 1961, the club he left as a teenager: in January 2021, Red Bull Salzburg paid an initial €2 million for him, with the fee potentially rising to €3.5 million. It marked a big step up for a defender who had come through Istra's youth ranks after starting out at NK Funtana in his native Pula.

At Salzburg, most of his football came with the reserve side, Liefering, where he made his senior debut in October 2022 in the Austrian 2. Liga. He went on to make 48 appearances for Liefering, scoring five goals, and in September 2025 was included in Salzburg's first-team squad for a Champions League match against Porto, though he did not take the field.

In January 2026, Žiković moved to União de Leiria on loan, joining Portugal's Segunda Liga, where he made three appearances before a permanent transfer to Nyíregyháza Spartacus FC in Hungary that July.

Internationally, he has represented Croatia across several youth age groups, from the U15s up to the U18s, and captained the U16 side, for whom he scored once in four caps.
