About the player
He made his senior bow for Cerezo Osaka U-23 in the J3 League in 2020, before signing his first professional contract in 2022 and establishing himself as a regular starter in the J1 League. Across his time with the first team he made 68 league appearances and scored eight goals, with 91 appearances and 13 goals in all competitions.
In June 2025 he left Japan for Red Bull Salzburg, signing a five-year contract in the Austrian Bundesliga, with Salzburg said to have outbid Austria Wien for his signature. He scored seven goals in 27 league appearances for the club.
He earned his first senior call-up in November 2025, making his debut for Japan in a friendly against Ghana.
