About the player
Šimek came through Pardubice's own academy, moving up through the club's U19 side before signing his first senior contract in July 2021. Rather than pushing straight into the first team, he spent the following seasons out on loan: first at 1. SK Prostějov in the FNL, where he made 14 league appearances and scored once, then at MFK Chrudim, where he added 16 appearances and another goal in the Chance Národní Liga before returning to Pardubice in December 2024.
Back at his parent club, Šimek has started to make his mark in the Czech First League. On 30 November 2025 he scored his first top-flight goal, netting away at Sparta Prague as Pardubice claimed a historic win at Letná.
Šimek has also had a taste of international football, having represented the Czech Republic at U17 level with five caps. He has not yet been called into a senior squad.
