Shola Ogundana

Shola Ogundana's move to Brazil began with a tournament. On loan at Alex Transfiguration Academy in 2022, he played the Torneo di Viareggio in Italy, and his performances there caught Flamengo's attention. The following April he joined the Brazilian club's under-20 setup on a one-year loan, having spent his earlier years at the Beyond Limits Football Academy, the youth affiliate of Remo Stars. He made his senior debut for Flamengo in November 2024, by which point the club had already purchased 70% of his economic rights.

His time in Brazil produced silverware at both levels. With Flamengo's under-20 side he won the U-20 Copa Libertadores and the U-20 Intercontinental Cup in 2024 and 2025, scoring in the Libertadores in both years while representing Nigeria at that age group. At senior level he added the Copa do Brasil in 2024 and the Campeonato Carioca in 2025.

On 1 September 2025, Ogundana signed a four-year contract with Dynamo Kyiv. The club did not disclose the fee, though reports citing journalist Bruno Lema put the transfer at around 200,000 euros, with Flamengo holding a 50% sell-on clause. He has already added to his medal collection in Ukraine, winning the Ukrainian Cup in the 2025–26 season. He is yet to earn a senior cap for Nigeria, but his age-group scoring record has kept him on the radar as a prospect for the Super Eagles.
