About the player
Tomáš Nemčík came through the youth system at MŠK Žilina, joining the academy at the age of ten before making his senior debut for Žilina in October 2020. He signed a new contract with the club in March 2022 that kept him there until the summer of 2024.
In January 2024 Rosenborg BK took him on loan, and the move was made permanent that April, when he signed with the Norwegian club until the end of 2028. The transfer fee was reported at around €0.6 million. A left-footed centre-back who stands 190 cm tall, his disciplinary record at club level has been clean of red cards, with only yellow cards picked up along the way.
His time in Trondheim has been interrupted by injury: a thigh problem kept him out between May and July 2025, and a knee injury sidelined him again from November 2025.
Nemčík has represented Slovakia at youth level, with caps for the under-16, under-19 and under-21 sides, but a call-up to the senior national team has yet to come.
