About the player
Tharlley — known here simply as Tarli — came through the youth ranks at Brasiliense, the club where he later made his professional debut and to which he stayed attached, on and off, from 2020 to 2024. That link has family roots: his father, Luiz Oliveira dos Santos Junior, played for the same club and won the Campeonato Brasiliense five times as Coquinho, and the nickname has followed the son as "Tharlley Coquinho".
The early part of his career was built on loans away from Brasiliense — spells at Samambaia, São-Carlense, Ceilandense and Iporá kept him playing regularly while still tied to the Brasília club. A brief return to Brasiliense in 2025 was followed by another loan, to Centro Oeste, before a move to Portugal changed the shape of his career. At FC Oliveira do Hospital he became a regular in the Campeonato de Portugal, making 31 appearances and contributing 6 goals and 4 assists.
That form led to a permanent switch to União de Leiria in July 2026, arriving as a free agent on a one-year contract with three option years attached. He has not been called up by Brazil at any level and has yet to win an individual award or a title as a senior player, so the loan-heavy route through the lower Brazilian and Portuguese leagues remains the defining feature of his story so far.
